There’s nothing perfect about perfectionism

Perfectionism presents on a spectrum. When the overly rigid rules and expectations apply only to ourselves, we often assign this the label of perfectionism, which can be a trans-diagnostic symptom. When the rules one makes extend to expectations or demands that others follow them, this can be an indicator of Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD). OCPD may be one of the most prevalent personality disorders, but there appears to be a paucity of clinicians who specialize in this treatment. I have participated in cutting edge clinical projects in regards to treatment of OCPD, which you can read about here. I also offer individual treatment for those with OCPD and/or perfectionism.
