• Sam Greenblatt

    Dr. Sam Greenblatt is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has specialized in the treatment of OCD his entire career. As a person with OCD himself, Sam understands deeply the struggle of dealing with intrusive thoughts and the intense distress that can come with it. Sam uses his intimate understanding of OCD paired with his expert knowledge of research and treatment of the disorder to provide the best possible care for his patients.

    Sam specializes in the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (including ERP and ACT) for OCD and relishes working with all themes and challenges, including OCD that has not responded to previous treatment. He is particularly interested in using a more recently enhanced model of ERP (which you can read about here). In addition to serving the OCD community, Sam has a special interest in working with people in queer communities.

  • McKenzie Gelvin

    McKenzie Gelvin, M.A., is a third-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology with a Health Emphasis at Touro University, where she has also earned her Master’s Degree in Psychology. Complementing her clinical psychology training, McKenzie is concurrently pursuing a Master’s of Public Health through New York Medical College.

    McKenzie is trained in CBT and utilizes a range of techniques to treat clients with a range of diagnoses including ASD, OCD, general anxiety, and others. As a therapist she wants her clients to feel that they are welcomed into a compassionate and accepting space, where they can express themselves without fear of judgement or criticism. McKenzie works to strike a balance between offering support and challenging clients to step out of their comfort zone when necessary for growth! 

    McKenzie’s research and clinical interests focus on the mind-body connection, with a special emphasis on the relationship between biometric measures and mood. Additionally, McKenzie has incorporated nutritional psychology into her work, studying the crucial relationship between diet and mental health. McKenzie is trained and supervised by Dr. Greenblatt and operates under his licensure.

  • Serena Bonomo

    Serena Bonomo is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology PhD student at Long Island University (LIU) Brooklyn. A native New Yorker, Serena graduated from New York University (NYU) with both her Bachelor’s and Master of Arts in Psychology with a particular emphasis on clinical neuroscience. Prior to and during her doctoral work, Serena researches topics focusing on trauma and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as well as their impact on shame and substance use. As a therapist, she has an array of experience providing individual and group psychotherapy, serving a diverse community. Serena has worked with patients/clients experiencing difficult symptoms stemming from OCD, in addition to various other diagnoses. Serena prioritizes a comfortable setting for clients to explore and confront challenging areas of their mental health and overall functioning while encouraging self-compassion, curiosity, humor, and stepping out of one’s comfort zone with her guided support at the background of all interventions. Serena is trained and supervised by Dr. Greenblatt and operates under his licensure.

  • Mehrnaz Mirhosseini

    Do you have constant thoughts that you can’t seem to get rid of? Thoughts that seem real, and carry a weight of anxiety, uncertainty, discomfort, or even shame?

    Mehrnaz Mirhosseini, M.S., is a doctoral candidate at Long Island University Post. She is trained in CBT and ERP and utilizes a range of techniques to treat clients from a range of backgrounds with different types of OCD. She believes in working with clients to figure out how to best apply the treatment specifically to them. Mehrnaz believes in jumping in the water with her clients, instead of coaching from the sidelines to help them achieve their goals. She is trained and supervised by Dr. Greenblatt and operates under his licensure.

  • Eluisa Brunetto

    Eluisa Brunetto is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 19 years of experience specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). She earned both her Master of Social Work (MSW) and her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Romance Languages and Literature from New York University. Eluisa's passion for literature often finds its way into her clinical work, providing a unique and insightful approach to therapy.

    As a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, Eluisa focuses on helping individuals manage and overcome Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety, OCD, Panic Disorder, and Phobias. She is trained in several evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

    Eluisa strongly values the therapeutic relationship as a cornerstone of successful treatment. She strives to create a warm, comfortable, and collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to work together on setting therapy goals and selecting the personalized treatment modalities. Fluent in both Italian and Spanish, she has worked with diverse communities throughout her career and is passionate about supporting clients through significant life transitions. In addition to her work with anxiety and OCD, she has also provided Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for adolescents and served as a co-parenting counselor for individuals with minor children going through separation or divorce.
